After you go to the wave you'll only type on the laptop if you have too. GREAT if you wear glasses. WORKS AWEOMSE. Opens up spaces in OSX, ical, iphoto, calcualtor, frontrow, itunes, pages, excel, firefox, ichat, mail, search, put comptuer to sleep.
I have to say I was sceptical about getting this BIG keyboard but after setting it up.I AM AMAZED. Keyboard wrist rest is an awesome touch. 12345Ergonomics is the best.was typing on a macbook pro laptop keyboard. I'm working from a macbook pro with duel screen using leapordThe thing can launch 10 applications from the keyboard.
THING IS AWESOME.Keypad works.some say it did not work. very comfortable.I got the wired version of the keyboard because want to save the environment a battery.Don't look any further.buy it today. You can zoom in/out in any program. Sometimes the web pages open too small for my aging eyes.
It does work just fine with several other T60's so it's something unique to my setup (which has waaay too much loaded). Bought the keyboard for home after shoulder surgery - and love it, worked out of the box no issues. Like it enough and it's worked with all other T60's so I gave it 4 stars. Still working thru it with support. Was good enough that I got work to buy one for me - and that's why the 4 stars. I'm having problems getting it to work with my T60, problems recognizing/loading the correct USB Receiver.
We're testing it in our cars and it's been handy to leave the unit in my trunk, but be able to use the keyboard in the front seat to troubleshoot our software. The large Delete key was nice from the start, but having the F1-F12 keys in banks of 3 instead of 4 took the most getting used to. It wasn't totally plug-n-play on my XP work box, but running the installer on the CD was all it took. Errr, not while driving, of course. In short, I'd recommend this product to anyone. I might have changed out the generic batteries once each for the keyboard and mouse, but I really only rememeber changing them in the keyboard. I bought my original Cordless Wave mouse/keyboard combo well over a year ago for my home machine.
She managed to get rolling with it on her Vista machine, so it's not tricky. As an extra bonus, I'm able to use this with my company's Windows CE 5.0 device. When I got sick of having to swap LI batteries in my laser mouse daily at work, I decided to shell out some money myself for one of these at work. The key placement takes a little getting used to, but I like it now. Others in my office will probably be getting them shortly. At the same time, I bought one as a gift for my computer illiterate mother-in-law.
Battery life was been phenomenal on the set I use at home, which is really why I went with it this time around.
It's only about 4ft and I got this to use in my living room with the tv as the monitor, so I had to move the couch a little closer. Also, the mouse clicks activate best on the tips, toward the front of the mouse, which can be awkward for people like me with small hands. I like this product quite a bit, and it's probably the best product that meets my needs in the price range. The angle isn't very good either and it took awhile to find the "sweet spot" where it worked well. Other than that, I am satisfied and am considering buying a wired set for my office. It's easy to use, especially the keyboard. The major complaint I have is that the range is much shorter than expected.
These will start to come off after awhile and make the mouse unusable. I had to replace my first mouse because of this and it is now happening with the second mouse (same model).I'm thinking of upgrading to the Wave Pro. I absolutely love the Wave set. The glue is very sticky and hard to get off once the pieces come off. However, if the mouse design is similar to the Wave, I may end up buying a different mouse. I gave it only 4 stars because of the mouse. There are 4 small pieces that are glued onto the bottom of the mouse.
